Join Us for NAMI Central Oregon’s NAMI Gather – Volunteer Night at Family Kitchen

We help out with dinner once every quarter. The mission of Family Kitchen is to provide nutritious meals to anyone in need in a safe caring environment. Activities include serving food, cleaning up dining area, washing dishes and generally volunteering to help make the Family Kitchen mission happen! This is a great opportunity for NAMI Central Oregon to share our programs and provide positive encouragement and peer support while we are there helping out.

This is also a wonderful time to connect to your NAMI Central Oregon community.

We need to know who is coming in advance. Please sign up!

Many of you joined the NAMI Gather in December and helped out at the Family Kitchen serving dinner to members of our community, helping clean up, and otherwise making a big positive impact for the folks who came in the doors. Afterward several of you said, “We should do this again!”  We worked with Family Kitchen to find a quarterly cadence for us to go and help out, and show the community what NAMI Central Oregon is all about. Please join us for a fun-filled hour of connection and community!

NAMI Gather is heading inside tonight due to the cold temperatures! Instead of our usual walk near the Old Mill, we will be at The Commons, 875 NW Brooks St, Bend, OR 97703 at 5:30 pm for about an hour. Come join us to chat, enjoy a cup of something warm and talk about what’s on your mind. We have all been cooped up and could likely use some conversation.

The meetup will be approximately 1 hour, with the option to stay longer should anyone want to hang out afterward.

Before attending, please review NAMI’s Code of Conduct, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy. Thank you!

Please join us for a fun-filled hour of connection and community as we walk along the Deschutes River Trail starting at the Old Mill Bridge across from Sisters Coffee every first and third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm!

There is much evidence about the positive effect of movement on our mental health! Together we can build connection and community while having a lower-intensity activity!

Check out this report from the APA: Want to boost your mental health? Take a walk (apa.org)

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring water and a snack to keep hydrated and fuel your energy!

If you bring your dog, we ask that they be kept on a leash.

The meetup will be approximately 1 hour, with the option to stay longer should anyone want to hang out afterward.

Before attending, please review NAMI’s Code of Conduct, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy. Thank you!
