NAMI Gather Special Event – Snowshoe Mt. Bachelor!

  • 8:45 AM PST meet at Bend Park and Ride on SW Columbia St. near the Pavilion

NAMI Gather Special Event! We have partnered with the U.S Forest Service and nonprofit Discover Your Forest to bring you a guided snowshoe tour at Mt Bachelor. This will be a 90 minute tour where we learn about winter ecology at Mt. Bachelor and the geology of Central Oregon, the Deschutes National Forest watershed and the plants and animals found throughout this area. SNOWSHOES WILL BE PROVIDED, but you are welcome to use your own. Please dress for the weather, warm clothing, appropriate footwear (boots are recommended), gloves and a hat.

We will meet at the Bend Park and Ride at 8:45am to catch the shuttle. Round trip cost is $12. The Park and ride is on SW Columbia St near the Pavilion. If you are interested in sponsoring another participant and covering the cost of the shuttle please let Scott Jones know at sejones.1@outlook.com. We want to make sure everyone that wants to go can go!

Bring a sack lunch or some cash for the restaurants for lunch together after our snowshoe adventure!

NAMI Gather is an event to help create community and connection. Anyone impacted by Mental Illness is welcome to participate. This includes, supporters, advocates. peers, family or anyone else with a connection to Mental Health issues.
